Psychotherapy &/or Skill Building Sessions--45 minutes $75-190 depending on time and whether combined with Medication Management
All sessions are expected to be paid for at the time of service except those with specific health insurance coverage.
Although I take most Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Regence and Premera for example) and First Choice insurance, some of their policies farm out their mental health coverage to insurance companies I do not take.
Therefore, it's become increasingly important in recent years that you call your insurance company before scheduling your first appointment and ask specifically about their mental health coverage. If it's any company other than Blue Cross/Blue Shield or First Choice, I probably don't take it.
If I don't take your insurance, you are to pay for services at the time they are provided.
If you have paid at the time of service and you wish to get reimbursed for our sessions, you may ask NW Clinical Billing (by calling toll free 800-831-3322 or emailing David@NWclinical.com) to send you the "Super Bill" that is required by all insurances for you to get reimbursed. We do not automatically send a superbill to you because not everyone wants to get reimbursed by their insurance.
For those who want coaching instead of or as well as med mangement, and do not use insurance, and who commit to at least two sessions per month for at least three months, we offer the opportunity to participate in the First Focus Coaching Program at $237 per month (a 40% reduced fee). However, a valid credit card is required to register and schedule for all appointments for everyone. This credit card is used in only 3 situations:
1) If you ask us to use the credit card to pay what you owe, we will do it;
2) If you do not show for or do not cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled appointment, a no-show/late-cancellation fee of $75 is charged to the credit card; or
3) If we bill your insurance directly (Premera, First Choice and Regence except Boeing) and you haven't paid your deductible or co-pay within two months of when you received the statement (or would've received the statement if we had your correct mailing address [yep, it's your responsibility to report change of address]) or you have not made a payment as you agreed, we may choose to use the credit card to recover what is owed.
Agreements are important in this kind of work. If I don't show up or give you 24 hours advance notice of canceling an appointment (except in emergencies), I will give you the next session free. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment or do not give us at least 24 hours advance notice of cancellation (except in physical emergencies), you will be charged $75 for the session which insurance will not cover.
